What it does
Workload View plots how much work lands on each person — or each priority, status or tag — across a window of 7, 14 or 30 days. Each cell shows that group's total for the day, color-coded against a capacity you set. It's built from the same due dates every other view already shows, including subtasks.
Who needs it
Anyone assigning work across a team — a lead balancing who's carrying too much before committing to a deadline, or someone checking their own load for the week ahead. Most useful right before a deadline gets set, not after it's too late to rebalance.
Why use it
A due-date list tells you what's due. Workload tells you whether the person it's due from can actually get to it, by putting their whole load next to a capacity line instead of leaving you to add it up yourself.
How it works
Workload is one of six interchangeable lenses on the same tasks — every cell in this grid is built from the same due dates (including subtasks') that List, Board and the rest already show; nothing is entered separately here.
Range: pick 7, 14 or 30 days from the Range dropdown; use the arrows to shift the window earlier or later, or Today to snap back to the current date.
Group by: rows are grouped by Assignee (the default, one row per person plus their avatar), Priority, Status or Tag.
Calculate by: chooses what a cell actually counts — Time estimates (hours, from each task's estimate field), Task count (a flat count of tasks due that day), or Sprint points (each task's Sprint Points field — see Sprints). Switching modes resets the default daily capacity to match: 6 hours, 3 tasks, or 5 points respectively.
Capacity/day: the shared number every cell is judged against. In Time estimates mode, each person's row also gets its own small "cap" control to set a per-person override in hours/day — Task count and Sprint points modes use one capacity for everyone, since there's no meaningful per-person unit to override there.
A cell colors green under 75% of capacity, amber from 75% up to the limit, and red once it's over. Below the grid, an Unscheduled panel lists assigned tasks with no due date and an Overdue panel lists assigned tasks past their due date and not yet done — both work the day grid can't place — with a "Show N more" toggle past the first six. Click any task in either panel to open it.
