What it does
A Sprint Folder is a folder with a sprint schedule: each sprint is a dated list whose status (Upcoming, Current, Completed) comes from its start and end dates. You add and complete sprints from the folder page, optionally spill unfinished work into the next sprint, and open Velocity & Burndown for the history. A standalone Sprint list is still a regular list with the sprint icon — Sprint Points on any task still feed Workload View.
Who needs it
Software and product teams running timeboxed delivery who need a real sprint calendar, not only a sidebar icon. Also anyone who wants story-point capacity in Workload View without tying it to a time estimate.
Why use it
The folder page is the sprint board: date-derived status, + Add Sprint, Complete Sprint, spillover, and Settings live there so you are not renaming lists by hand each cycle. Velocity & Burndown uses snapshots from those dates instead of guessing from today's task list.
How it works
From the sidebar's + Create new menu on a Space, choose Sprint Folder (or Sprint for a single sprint-flagged list). A Sprint Folder creation dialog includes sprint settings: duration, whether capacity is points or time estimates, and whether unfinished tasks spill to the next sprint. After create, the folder page's Settings dialog changes those same fields so the next + Add Sprint uses the new duration.
Each sprint is a list with a start and end date. Status is derived from those dates (and an early Complete): Upcoming, Current, or Completed. Use + Add Sprint to append the next window, and Complete Sprint on a Current sprint to close it early. If spillover is on, unfinished tasks move into the next sprint.
Velocity & Burndown on the folder page plots committed vs completed points (or estimates) from daily snapshots — including after a sprint is completed — plus average velocity.
A Sprint list or folder still shows the running-person icon in the sidebar. Inside a sprint list you get the same List/Board/Calendar/Gantt/Table/Workload views as any other list.
Sprint Points: every task has a "Sprint pts" field in its detail panel (0 to 999), kept separate from time estimates. Any task can carry Sprint Points. In Workload View, Calculate by Sprint points plots daily load against a default 5 points/day (adjustable).
