What it does
Bring tasks into a list from a CSV, or move an entire workspace in or out in one file — either IterDone's own JSON format or the CSV format ClickUp exports. Export is available at every scope, so nothing you put in is ever locked in.
Who needs it
Anyone migrating from a spreadsheet or another tool, or who wants an offline backup of the whole workspace before a big change.
Why use it
Moving in takes minutes instead of re-creating everything by hand, and moving out is a real, complete export — not a stripped-down CSV missing half your fields.
How it works
Admin > Import / Export covers three separate scopes — pick the one that matches what you're moving.
Single list, CSV. Export downloads every task in one list as CSV (name, description, status, priority, assignees, due date, tags). Import reads a CSV back into a target list — the header row needs at least a Name column, with optional Description, Status, Priority and DueDate columns; anything else in the file is ignored.
Full workspace, JSON. Exports (or imports) everything in one ClickUp-compatible JSON file: spaces, folders, lists, statuses, custom fields, tasks, subtasks, comments, checklists, tags, assignees, time entries and dependencies. Importing shows live progress (tasks done / total) and reuses any space, folder, list or status that already matches by name rather than duplicating it — only new tasks get added. Importing the same file twice duplicates tasks, so back up first.
Full workspace, ClickUp CSV. The same idea in the 34-column CSV format ClickUp itself exports (Workspace Settings > Imports/Exports > Export Items) — paste a ClickUp export straight in, or generate the same format to hand to another tool. Locations, subtasks, assignees, tags, priority, checklists and comments all carry over.
Both full-workspace importers share one setting: Overwrite existing data on import. Off (the default), a matched space, folder, list, status or custom field is reused exactly as it already exists in your workspace. On, that container's fields — color, sort order, status category, and so on — get replaced with whatever the imported file says, every time you re-import. Turn it on only when the file is the source of truth; anything changed by hand in the app since the last import will be overwritten.
Re-importing the same workspace file also syncs deltas both ways where it can — removed assignees or tags, updated comments, checklists, time entries and custom field values all get reconciled, and the result screen reports exactly what changed.
