Goals

Goals track a number, currency amount, task count or true/false outcome against a due date, with one or more progress sliders you drag as work moves.

Goals page showing goal cards with a progress bar, a target-value reference figure and individual target sliders underneath.

Goals: a progress bar built from one or more targets you track by hand.

What it does

Goals track a target — a number, a currency amount, a task-completion count or a plain true/false outcome — against an optional due date. Progress is built from one or more targets underneath it, each its own slider. Goals live on their own Goals page for the workspace, separate from any one list.

Who needs it

Anyone who needs to report a number up, not just a task list — an OKR owner, a lead who has to say "62% to target" in a standup. Or anyone tracking a metric that several lists' worth of work is supposed to move together.

Why use it

A list tells you what's done. A Goal tells you whether that's actually adding up to the number that matters, with one progress bar instead of counting completed tasks by hand.

How it works

Open Goals from the workspace to see every goal as a card with a name, a type badge, an optional due date (shown in red once passed), and a progress bar.

Type: a label for what the goal represents — Number, Currency, Task Completion or True/False — shown as a badge on the card. It doesn't change how progress is tracked; every goal works the same way underneath regardless of type.

Target value: an optional reference figure (e.g. 100) shown next to the percentage on the card. It's a number to aim for, not a divisor — the percentage itself comes entirely from the goal's targets, below.

Targets: click + Add target to add one; each is its own slider from 0 to 100%. Drag a target's slider to record how far that piece of the goal has moved. A goal's overall progress bar is the average of all its targets' sliders, so a goal with one target at 100% and one at 0% shows 50% complete.

Use one target for a simple goal, or several when a goal is really made up of a few independent pieces — split it however makes sense and track each slice on its own.

Delete a goal with the x in its top-right corner; this removes its targets along with it.
