Help Documentation
Every feature in IterDone, explained: what it does, who needs it, why it's worth using, and exactly how it works -- with real screenshots from a live workspace.
Getting Started
The first things worth learning before anything else.
Getting Started with IterDone
A six-step walkthrough of Spaces, Lists and Tasks, creating your first task, switching views, opening a task, writing a Doc, and finding anything with search.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Every keyboard shortcut IterDone documents, grouped by navigation, task actions, views, and general commands, so you can work without touching the mouse.
Plan & track
Spaces, tasks, statuses and the fields that hold your work.
Spaces
Spaces are the top level of your workspace. Learn the two-step creation wizard, permissions, privacy, starter templates, and custom task ID settings.
Folders & Lists
Folders and Lists sit inside a Space, three levels deep and no deeper. Learn when to use a Folder, a List, and how Sprints fit into the hierarchy.
Tasks
The task is the core unit of IterDone. Learn every field on a task: assignees, priority, due dates, subtasks, dependencies, checklists, and attachments.
Custom Fields
Custom fields add the data your workflow needs. See every field type IterDone supports and how to scope a field to one List or an entire Space.
Task Statuses & Workflows
Custom statuses replace one-size-fits-all workflows. Learn how to rename, recolor, cap work-in-progress, and reuse a status set as a template.
Templates
Save a Space's structure or a single task as a reusable template, then reuse or duplicate it later without rebuilding the setup from scratch.
Organize
Views, goals and sprints — the same work, seen the way you need it.
List View
List View groups your tasks by status, assignee, priority, tag or due date, nests subtasks under their parent, and adds any field as a column.
Board View (Kanban)
Board View turns a list into a Kanban board with colored, WIP-limited columns and drag-and-drop cards, grouped into swimlanes by priority or assignee.
Calendar View
Calendar View lays your due dates across a month or week grid, so you can see what's due at a glance and click any day to add a task for it.
Gantt View
Gantt View charts every scheduled task on a timeline, draws arrows for dependencies, and lets you drag a bar to move its start and due dates together.
Table View
Table View lists your tasks as a spreadsheet of columns you choose, mixing built-in properties and custom fields, reordered by dragging the headers.
Timeline View
Timeline View is the same chart as Gantt view, zoomed out to a week or month scale for a lighter, longer-range read of what's scheduled when.
Workload View
Workload View shows who's over or under capacity across the next 7, 14 or 30 days, grouped by assignee, priority, status or tag, with a target per day.
Activity View
Activity keeps an automatic, timestamped record of every change on a task — created, renamed, status, priority, assignment — so you know who did what, when.
Goals
Goals track a number, currency amount, task count or true/false outcome against a due date, with one or more progress sliders you drag as work moves.
Sprints
Sprints are a regular list or folder flagged for the sidebar, with per-task Sprint Points that plug straight into Workload View's capacity math.
Collaborate
Docs, comments, clips and the tools that keep a team in sync.
Docs
Nested pages, rich text, page history, and a public share link — build a doc that lives next to the work instead of in a separate wiki tool.
Comments & Mentions
Threaded replies and @mentions that actually notify someone — comment discussion attached directly to a task or a doc page, not lost in chat.
Clips
Record a screen clip or a voice memo right from the top toolbar — it uploads automatically into a shared Clips library the whole team can watch.
Notifications & Inbox
Two channels, five modes each, and a Custom picker with twelve individual switches — plus an Inbox and a filtered Replies view for what lands.
Sharing & Permissions
Share a Space, Folder, List, Doc, or Dashboard with specific people or Teams, set View/Comment/Edit access, and add guests scoped to one List.
Global Quick Create
A top-bar Create button opens a task, a doc, or a reminder from anywhere in the app, and Ctrl+K jumps straight to searching your tasks by name.
Time Tracking
A start/stop timer on every task, time estimates that feed the Workload view's per-person capacity math, and a workspace Timesheet grouped by day.
Automate & connect
Automations, API, integrations and the admin surface.
Members & Teams
Invite members with a role, add free guests scoped to one list, group people into Teams for bulk @mentions, and see reporting lines on the Org Chart.
Automations
Automations watch a list for a status change or new assignment, then notify assignees or spin off a subtask automatically — no automation platform needed.
Import & Export
Move work in from a CSV or a ClickUp-format export, and take it all back out any time — tasks, docs, fields, comments, checklists, dependencies.
Email Integration
Configure an inbound email-to-task address, the outbound sender identity, and how often pending notification emails get digested into a single message.
API Keys & Webhooks
Scoped API keys and signed webhooks give your scripts and AI assistants the same access the UI has, restricted to exactly the workspace or space you choose.
Embedded Apps
Register an app to embed this workspace's live My Tasks, Inbox, list or task views inside your own site or intranet — scoped to one Space if you choose.
Support Widget
Drop a support widget on your own website with your own site key, accent color and launcher label — every submitted ticket lands as a task in your workspace.
Tags & Task Types
Workspace-wide Tags cut across the hierarchy to group related work; Task Types label what kind of work each task is — both shared by every list.
